7 Celebs Who’ve Claimed They’ll Run for President
Many celebrities have stepped forward in the wake of Donald Trump’s election to suggest they could run for president in 2020. Since we still have a few more years to go before the election, there will probably be many more added to this list. But in the meantime, let’s take a look at some of the potential candidates.
1. Kanye West
Kanye first announced he’d run back in 2015. After Trump won, the hashtag #Kanye2020 gained traction and started trending. I’m more excited for the possibility that Kim Kardashian would be the First Lady.
2. Chris Rock

Chris Rock sent Twitter into a tizzy shortly after President Trump was elected. Whether it was a joke or not is still up for discussion.
3. Dwayne Johnson
After being named Sexiest Man Alive, Dwayne Johnson told People magazine that there was a good chance he’d run for President one day.
4. Roseanne Barr
Roseanne Barr already ran for President once in 2012, where she placed sixth. Earlier this month, Barr said she’d be a better president than Oprah Winfrey or Susan Sarandon and “probably even Trump”.
5. Ron Perlman
While Ron Perlman’s run for presidency accompanied by the catchy tag Perl2020 might be a joke, he is in involved on social media sharing his view of politics.
6. Mark Cuban
The billionaire told CNN, “Based off what’s happening in the White House, based off what’s happening in the country and the world, we need better leadership. And I think I could do a better job.” Despite the seemingly definitive declaration, Cuban says he probably won’t run mostly because of his family.
7. Mark Zuckerberg
While Zuckerberg hasn’t outright declared his candidacy, he made a goal to visit all fifty states in 2017 and meet people in each one. Hmm… sounds campaign-y to me. Also let it be known that all the good “Mark Zuckerberg” gifs are from The Social Network. Here are a few selects.
