Actors Who Dated Their On-Screen Family Members
It’s not really surprising to find out that on-screen couples end up dating in real life, from movies to Disney channel shows, that stuff happens all the time. And it makes sense, they’re acting like they love each other and are spending a ton of time together, so why not just continue off-screen as well? But things get a little weirder when the relationship they have on-screen isn’t romantic and it’s family. As in siblings or even father/daughter. Yikes! Here’s a look at actors who hooked up with their on-screen family members.
Selena Gomez and David Henrie
Although never official, these Wizard of Waverly Place siblings were rumored to be an item as they were often seen canoodling around town in more than sibling ways. I still find this pairing less disturbing than the one between her and Bieber. I don’t know what that says about me.
Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia
Milo was playing Hayden’s uncle on the show Heroes when the two hooked up. Somehow this is more eyebrow-raising than the sibling hook ups. Maybe it’s the age difference, maybe it’s the fact that it sounds like a search term pervs would look for on a porn site. Idk. So I’ve heard.
Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter
As if their relationship on Dexter wasn’t creepy enough, these two started dating and got married IRL. Although they eventually divorced, art did imitate life when the onscreen brother and sister developed actual feelings for each other during the show’s final season. Ew. Way to make a serial killer show even more disturbing.
Chris Pratt and Emily VanCamp
These two Everwood sibling cuties dating IRL is probably the most soap opera-like thing that ever happened regarding Everwood. Emily went on to date another onscreen sibling, Dave Annable on Brothers and Sisters. Kind of brings a new meaning to that show title.
Ian Somerholder and Maggie Grace
These two hot step-siblings kept things interesting on the first season of Lost. It was already a little inappropriate between the pair, so the duo kept it a secret that they were having a fling off-screen as well. Once they both died on the show, they went all out until they broke up. A love that taboo could never last or any love in Hollywood tbh.
Lauren Graham and Peter Krause
The two leads on Parenthood started dating IRL during the show’s run and even though it is somewhat incest-y, we’re all super happy about it. Like I honestly might have been fine with them dating on the show. That’s how behind this coupling I am.
Katharine Heigl and Jason Behr
This Roswell pair played siblings on the screen, but off screen they were not alien to each other’s private parts. Oh man, that was bad. Forgive me, but I was running out of ways to say that on-screen siblings hooked up IRL. The pair eventually broke up and married people they were not on-screen related to, as it should be.
David Tennant and Georgia Moffet
In maybe the creepiest one of all, Moffet played Tennant’s cloned daughter on the sci-fi hit show Doctor Who. Making things even crazier is the fact that Moffet’s father, Peter Davison, played an earlier incarnation of the Doctor. The pair are now married. So she’s married to her onscreen dad and her dad is also her on-screen dad and kind of her husband. Or something like that. These time-travel things always confuse me. All I know is don’t kill a butterfly.
