8 Celebrities You Didn’t Know Did Voices On Spongebob
It’s always frustrating when you’re sitting at home watching cartoons in your underwear when suddenly you hear a familiar voice. You know that you know the voice, but you just can’t quite place it. You must find out what celebrity is voicing that cartoon now! If you don’t, it will haunt you for the rest of the episode and then you’ll probably just forget about it forever. Spongebob has been around for a while so they’ve had some really amazing celebrity guests. Here are celebs you didn’t know did a voice on Spongebob.
Andy Samberg – Colonel Carper
Colonel Carper wasn’t just any fish. He was also a concert promoting manager guy. That Andy kid actually has a decent voice. Maybe he should start a band with some sort of nautical name. I think Solitary Archipelago would be a pretty good band name.
David Bowie – Lord Royal Highness
David Bowie wrote some of my favorite songs. Spongebob is one of my favorite cartoons. It’s beautiful when two things that you love come together and make something awesome. It doesn’t always turn out this well. I love chili cheese dogs. I love Abe Vigoda. Abe Vigoda in a bathtub full of chili cheese dogs is not something I ever want to see again. Plus the clean up in my bathroom was terrible.
Johnny Depp – Jack Kahuna Laguna
Johnny Depp is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood. It’s pretty cool that he was willing to do a Spongebob episode since he’s always so busy starring in Tim Burton remakes. I really hope they don’t do a creepy Spongebob remake.
Amy Poehler – Grandma
When Gary the Snail goes missing, a nice grandma played by Amy Poehler took him in. Well, she seems nice until it turns out that her favorite hobby is feeding snails until they pop. Gary finds a pile of snail shells. This was actually pretty accurate. Most old ladies have a closet full of cat skeletons. I’ve seen Hoarders!
Biz Markie – Kenny The Cat
Kenny the Cat is a new character that will be appearing in the upcoming episode Kenny the Cat. He’s a cat who’s famous for holding his breath a really long time. That’s nothing. I once knew a cat who could could play Halo. He always lost, but it was still extremely adorable when he’d smack at the control.
Gene Simmons – Sea Monster
Gene Simmons is the Demon from KISS. I’m kind of surprised he was willing to be involved in Spongebob without having KISS plastered all over everything in the episode. He puts KISS on anything he can. He even made a KISS Coffin.
John Goodman – Santa Claus
John Goodman plays Santa in the stop motion Christmas episode. Plankton makes everyone in town bad to trick Santa in to giving him the Krabby Patty formula. It was a pretty good epsiode. The only weird part was when Santa pulled a gun on Squidward because his tentacle went over the line when they were bowling. Squidward, my friend, you are entering a world of pain.
Kristen Wiig – Madame Hagfish
Kristen Wiig is the best. In this episode, she plays an old hagfish who curses the Krusty Krab after they won’t give her free Krabby Patties. The moral of this story is give everything to old people for free because they’re full of horrible dark magic and will ruin your life.
