Danny DeVito Had the Best Response for a Fan Who Took a Cardboard Cutout of Him to Prom

By  |

A 17-year-old student named Allison Closs went viral last month after she took a cardboard cutout of Danny DeVito (AKA Frank from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) to prom. It was epic, and we were BIG fans of the move.

Allison later shared that the cutout cost about $100, but we’ve valued it at the cost of ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS.

And just when you think Allison’s story couldn’t get any better, it DID. Rob McElhenney (AKA Mac from It’s Always Sunny) took to Instagram to share Danny returning the gesture.

Has there ever BEEN a more epic response to a fan’s gesture before? No. Absolutely not. Don’t Google it. Don’t @ us.

Rob captioned the picture, “Hey Allison- I heard you took cardboard Danny to Prom. What a coincidence. He took cardboard Allison to Paddy’s…” We’re assuming that Allison is dead now. Straight up dead after reading that post and seeing Danny side-hugging her very own prom cardboard cutout.

RIP Allison, and bless you, Always Sunny genius-heroes. Now please somehow have her cardboard cutout show up in a future episode so we can bring her back from the dead.

What do you think of Danny returning Alison’s gesture? Too pure for this world? We think so too! Let’s talk about it on Twitter @Smosh!
