‘It’ Reimagined as an Anime is a Whole New Kind of Nightmare

Two incredible artists just joined forces to bring us an anime version of It that we didn’t really know we wanted.

The above versions of Pennywise the clown were drawn and colored by artist Mike Anderson. Mike’s drawings inspired animator Kev Chelios to bring the It anime to life in a short video depicting the scene where Pennywise ever-so-creepily convinces Georgie Denbrough to take back his paper sailboat…

Not gonna lie, was kinda hoping he’d take it all the way to the moment where *spoiler alert* Georgie’s arm is bitten off, just because the anime version would probably be much less traumatizing.

Follow Kev Chelios on Twitter and check out more of Mike Anderson’s incredible work on his website Mikuloctopus.com and on Dribbble. It looks like Mike is working on some more Pennywise art right now.

What other live action film characters would you want to see Mike and Kev give the anime treatment? Do you think these two should team up and do an anime series? Let us hear your thoughts @Smosh!
