8 Important Questions "Frozen" Needs To Answer
So I just saw “Frozen” again, because I’m an adult person and that’s a completely reasonable thing for an adult person to do, and although I like it very much, there are still some things that bug me about it. For instance a few glaring plot holes, unaswered questions and things that just kind of made me say “hmmmm…” Here’s a look at 8 of ’em! [WARNING: SPOILERS. WHY DID YOU CLICK ON THIS ARTICLE IF YOU DIDN’T SEE THE MOVIE ALREADY?]
How exactly did Elsa Get her powers?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know…she was born with them. BUT WHY?? Was she cursed by an evil snowflake? Did her mom have an affair with a snowman? Was she a mutant? OH! Will there be a Frozen/X-Men crossover?? So many questions. And you’re welcome Hollywood, for that mashup movie idea. Please contact me on Twitter and I’ll let you know where to send my million dollar check.
Who was in charge of running the kingdom/raising the girls after the King and Queen died?
So after the parents died in the animated version of that movie “The Perfect Storm”, who the hell was running the show!? Who was raising the girls? Who was ruling the kingdom? Was it that random group of castle staff members they kept showing? Why did Anna never rebel and just be like “Open the gate, bitches!” I’m guessing your parents tragically dying would lead to some royally bad behavior…especially when you’re being unreasonably imprisoned in your castle.
What was the deal with Kristoff and the Trolls?
Was he an orphan? I thought his dad was one of the ice dudes from the beginning? Did he get adopted by the Trolls after seeing Anna be saved as a child? How did this all go down? The whole troll thing in general seems weird. Like why does no one else know to consult them when the sh*t hits the fan? And if the trolls are so wise, why couldn’t they do more to help Elsa? They seem about as useful as internet trolls, only way more attractive.
How did Arendelle embrace Elsa so quickly again after fearing her?
Remember how scared they were when she initially froze the whole city? And then she unthawed everything with love, come again? Yes, love, and the whole city was instantly frolicking around and enjoying the new ice-skating rink in the center of town. Ummm, okay. Maybe I’m just a bitter cynic, but I’d want a little more evidence that the whole frozen thing wouldn’t happen again. I guess I’m just too jaded by my experiences with lying American politicians.
No one questioned Han’s statement that he and Anna were married?
How exactly does marriage work in Arendelle!? You just say you’re married and that’s it? Oh yeah and she’s dead too….no need for an autopsy or investigation into her death. And by the way Elsa murdered her, but we don’t need a trial, I sentence her to death. If you’re a lover of justice and the rule of law, I’m guessing Arendelle isn’t on your list of places you want to visit.
Why did Elsa unleash the snow monster on her sister?
So Elsa spends her whole life worrying about hurting her sister and then she unleashes a snow beast on Anna? Huh? Was she like PMSing that day or something?
Why did Anna have to forget everything?
Maybe I’m just a huge believer in being honest with children, but couldn’t a lot of the problems in this movie have been solved by just letting Anna in on the truth of what was happening with Elsa? I guess there would be no movie if that happened though. So yeah, keep lying to children Hollywood, our entertainment is worth any psychological damage that deception may cause cartoon children.
Why didn’t anyone help Elsa learn how to control her powers?
Seriously? Was locking Elsa up and scaring the crap out of her really the best solution to the problem? That would be like throwing me into a clown car full pf psychotic clowns to get me over my Coulrophobia, which would be just as eefective as Elsa’ treatment, only it would end up in a lot of dead clowns.
One last question…How do I get ‘Let It Go’ out of my head, because not only is it driving me crazy, I can’t stop myself from belting it out at very inopportune moments. It’s getting embarrassing. Thanks in advance for your help!
