Food Battle: The Game - FAQ

What is Food Battle: The Game?

Food Battle: The Game is an action/adventure game based on SMOSH’s annual Food Battle video series! Each year Anthony selects a new food to duel with Ian’s favorite choice, the ‘Pink Frosted Sprinkle Donut’.

In Food Battle: The Game you play as Anthony, battling mutant donuts that have overtaken the village of Tickputt. You’ll fight your way through many quests, collect ingredients, and discover recipes for better weapons and armor.

What type of video game is Food Battle: The Game?

Food Battle: The Game is an action-adventure game with multiple levels to explore, many characters to interact with and various weapons to equip in your battle against the sugar frosted menace that you will encounter on your adventure.

What is Gold?

Gold coins are the ‘soft’ currency used in the game. While exploring the different quests in Tickputt, you can find various amounts of gold by smashing crates, slicing up plants and killing the donut minions.

What are Sugar Crystals?

I bought gold/sugar crystals but they didn’t come through.  What can I do?

While most in-game purchases run smoothly, sometimes Apple, Google or Stevie’s delivery services (our servers) might be running slowly or experiencing an error. Give it a little time and/or try restarting the game: your gold/crystals should appear. If they don’t appear, please contact our customer support via foodbattle.zendesk.com. Our team will get back to you ASAP!

Why do I collect ingredients during the game? And what do they help me with?

Ingredients are the core of Food Battle: The Game and Ian’s Mom will always be ready to cook up your favorite Food Battle weapons. You collect ingredients during quests by smashing up chests that you find scattered around the environments and killing the evil donut minions. Ian’s Mom keeps her recipes super secret so when you collect an ingredient for a new recipe it will be displayed in Ian’s Mom’s kitchen.

If you find a recipe for an item and you are having trouble finding ingredients, be sure to visit Stevie’s shop and see what you can find in the noodle boxes. You can click directly on the missing ingredient in Ian’s Mom’s kitchen and that will direct you to the noodle box containing that ingredient. Remember, it’s free to peek inside the noodle box but Stevie will want payment for any noodle boxes that you want to open!

I’m playing through the game but I cannot progress into new quests.  Help!

Three secret stars are located throughout each quest for you to collect. 2 of the stars are hidden in secret areas of each quest, so be sure to explore the whole environment! Also, remember that each weapon has a battle ability and an exploration ability. So explore and learn the uses of each weapon, you never know what cool stuff you’ll find!

You also gain 1 star in each quest for finding and killing the donut minions. Sometimes, you won’t be able to get stars in certain levels until later when you have the correct weapon. But remember, you can always revisit quests to obtain stars that you may have missed!
