everyone has equal rights. its called human rights sexual preference should not change that. the only place they arnt accepted is chuches and shit but the churches should be allowed to refused their marriage cerimonies because it goes against their religion. but if someone will preform the ceremonies for gays thenall the power to them. i know lots of gays and they are just like regualr people.

The only reason why I agree with you is because they have done a study about gays and lesbians adopting children and it has been said that it is better for them not to have children.

Gay couples should have the same rights as married couples. At the moment, gay people can have ceremonies similar to a wedding and live together etc. as a couple. But if one of them died, the other wouldn't get the life insurance or anything. Their partner is entitled to absolutely nothing that they owned unless it's specifically in a will.

It's so stupid. Just because you don't like someone the same sex as you, shouldn't mean that no one else can. Everyone has a right to their own opinion and gays just get discriminated for theirs. Thank god people are slowly starting to accept them.

I've got nothing against gays, it's just what they do. If it were up to me, gay marriage wouldn't be legal. Gays, like everyone else, can keep their private lives "private", hence the name. They can work it out, just like in Philadelphia.

With that argument, normal marriage should be illegal too.

Marriage is between a man and a woman, gays dont deserve that title, they may have the same rights (except i think its wrong to entrust the life of a child into 2 gay men), but they DONT deserve the title, "Married" was a tterm ment for a man and a woman. Gays should just come up with something else, like "Life Partners" or something.

Marriage is the legal partnership of a man and a woman, NOT a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. Gay's, homos, lesbians, may deserve the same rights as us all, but shouldnt betreated the same because they are NOT the same, im not saying that there horribale people and they should be discriminated against, but they ARE different, and that needs to be acknwoledged. People shouldnt just pretend that they are the same, they are in-fact DIFFERENT.

Marriage isn't related to sexuality. But to religion or to society.
Sure they are different, but it's not related to the legal advantages of getting married and it's sure NOT related to their religion.

At this point in time, I don't think that the world is ready to accept openly gay people. I love gay people. I have talked to my good friend about the marriage thing, and he said that he doesn't feel it neccessary to have a ring and a piece of paper to prove his love for his boyfriend. But you know what...some people do.

I could easily just live with a guy my entire life, and never be married. But people get married for different reasons. A lot of the time, the benefits of a marriage when it comes to tax relief is a pretty big deal.
