Breast enlargements are now the most common graduation gift for girls who pass their secondary school exams in Italy.

Boob jobs have knocked cars and summer holidays back into second and third places respectively.

Angelica Pesce, 18, from Rome, said she and many of her pals would be going under the knife in a few weeks having just finished school.

She said: "It's a much more useful present than something like a car, which will break down after a few years, or a holiday, which is over within a week. My new breasts will last a lifetime."

no i just got 50 bucks from my parents and 50 bucks from my grandparents as a middle school graduation gift.

What the hell. Some peoples parents buy them new cars after graduating? As far as i thought peoples parents and relatives just gave small gifts.

I don't know. I guess depending on your area and school is how important your graduation is. My middle school had a pre-k and kindergarten graduation, and those were important as well. But my little brother's school (different than the school I attended), his pre-k graduation was a little in-class "party" and cupcakes.

Some public schools around here are broken up into 3 schools: pre-k -> 5; 6->8; 9->12. In grades 5, 8 and 12 you have a graduation. 5 & 8 are equally as important, and 12 is obviously the bigger one.

I don't care how much you guys celebrated it, a kindergarten graduation will never be and can never be "important." Neither can a fifth grade or eighth grade one. Those are just lame excuses for rich parents to throw their kids a party and give them shit. Leaving eighth grade and going to ninth grade isn't an accomplishment at all. You just become a freshman and therefore hated by all upperclassmen. Why should you be rewarded for going through another mandatory year of school?
