No offence if you really do, but much kudos. I mean, seriously, that's hard to read shit.

I have attempted, in my leisure time to read "clever" authors.
If I can't understand it, it's ditched.

I made an exception for Clockwork Orange though <333

Stephen King.

Makes me think, I've been a big fan of Stephen King, but am I the only one that now thinks he's really boring to read for like the 200 first pages of each of his books?
That really bothered me.
Like when he writes it's like,
'' And he ate the big red juicy apple that made him thought about when he was younger and he used to run in the fields with his big Golden Retriever called Kiki, because when his mother was younger her uncle used to call her kiki. He died in a car accident. His wife died several years ago...blablabla...''

See it started with a red apple and ended with a dead widow.

To be fair, if you like William Shakespeare, you should like, or at least be open to, text language.
He invented his own language pretty much, several words he completely invented (for example: "bubble"), and he's called a genius, and yet people saying things they just made up are called retards and banned.

I don't really know what point I'm trying to make anymore...
But basically, I've read Othello and Julius Caesar, and I can't be a-doing with it anymore.

At least a few of his plays had actual plots. And his sonnets are actually beautiful...
I'm just saying, I'm not stupid, I have tried to read that stuff.

Oh and George Orwell. I like his work.
##pirategirl##

I bought a book of his collected essays last week. It's surprisingly readable.

I can never remember authors names but I guess the usual lot: Jane Austin, Phillip Pulman, Eoin Colfer, Michael Palin, Spike Milligan, John Grisham and lots of other random people.

I also quite like Shakespeare, once you manage to work out what's going on the poetry of his writing is brilliant.

Should I have been reading in between the lines?
Cause I've never heard of any fat chick named Helga.

I mean, I don't know the books that well... *ahem*
