The guy is totally awesome, but he could've done a lot moar of money by buying iphones, unblocking them, and selling them. (even hto from what I've read, its not easy)

You can always get the iphone on the mac store or black market. But it is locked and will only wotk with AT&T. what this kid was to unlock it. which means it can work with any Network, worldwide.

So now everyone in the world can use an iphone.

My friend Brett has a Nissan 350Z. They're fun, until it becomes an everyday thing, then it's not a big deal.


Personally, it's like what I said above about the car, except w/ the iPhone I could see ariel views of people's houses and have direct maps and I could watch youtube all day and do all kinds of cool stuff. I enjoyed my time playing w/ it @ the store... but I bet it breaks really easily.

Yeah, I've been meaning to ask you...I'm having trouble with the JTAG, Cerberus isn't working, I'm stuck on that IO_SUPERVISOR command. Do you know if EXTEST will load a register onto the I/O bus? Cause that would make things simpler.

He took a phone that is, literally, the internet and soooo much more at your hand and did something that the phone was made to NOT be able to do: Be hacked. So this kid hacked the phone and then got payed hella cash flow for doing so.
