Well I have a website, http://www.chrissorenson.net , and I just made a website in which I'm posting until it's done because it sucks terribly.

I know Chrissorenson.net is really basic, but I didn't really think I needed that much to show my photography and shit.

Oh, and the gallery is really out of date.

I personally don't get what the fucking reason is for minimizing all the post space into one little thread, as in not letting people have their own topics for their own website.

It's to make it so the forum isn't crowded.

Yah, but to do this in every thread? Like New Users thread I can see it being done. But I've know forums with less moderators, and a whole lot more users that are able to control the crowdedness.

Website Design, Flash & Software Talk has a lot of duplicate threads that don't get much attention. People will get more attention if things are kept in one place.

Oh, and does your browser show transparent images?

Many of the browsers on my friend's computers are way out of date and make my table's background in the middle look like shit.

Maybe... Or someone could post something and then someone posts the next second, therefore not giving them any attention and then they might duplicate the post and get a warning or something.

Read up about IE PNG fixes. It will save you time just to put a little code in.

No offense. But I don't really like giving advice to people who use free site makers. It's kind of pointless.

I mean... None of it is their own coding. And none of it is their own design.

I don't do much of coding, I mainly use Joomla (Joomla.com) and MooTools (MooTools.net)

If you are just starting out with AJAX for your sites. I suggest MooTools.

I'm not familiar with googlepages. But it looks alright to me. One thing you could do is for each video, edit the <title> or something. And also on each video the banner is blank at the top. Also if it's possible maybe you could add your own descriptions to the videos on the pages.

Also... I think with new forums. It's better to start out with less categories. You have more then half of you categories with no posts. Maybe you should make it simple for now and combine some topics, like Music, Movies & TV, and maybe Video Games could all be combined into "Entertainment" or something.

I agree. When you have alot of forums and categories with few members, it makes your forum look empty, and like nobody posts. It's a very unnatractive feature for a new forum, attracting new members.
Also, you should have made a test board and completed all of your CSS, modifications etc on there so that when you get your new forum going, it won't be a default, and people will get the feeling that you made a greater effort in making the forum a good place. If the default skin is up, it will look like you don't really care, and the forum isn't too serious.

yea im still wroking on it. the reason it was defaut for a while was because i found a layout i wanted but was trying to find a code for it. finnaly i decided to deal with it and used a different layout, i will compile some topics how ever im still keeping all the different art catagories. also i know the banner isnt good at all im working on that

this is my personal site. I'm a webdesigner and digital illustrator so this is basically my portfolio. I also have some poetry here. I know there's probably issues with it, nobody's perfect. I designed the layout myself. It's been up too long though, I need to update.

I like the simple design. perfect for a portfolio. Some pages take you out of the design to a white page though, which makes them feel disconnected from the website. I like your work on there too.

Thank you! I got really lazy with the individual artwork pages. I'm working on a new layout now and I'm trying to make it more cohesive. I really appreciate your comments though. I get terrible tunnel vision with my sites, it's hard to look at them and see the negatives.

This was just an idea that came up last night, and I've only spent like 30 minutes on it so far.

The point with Uniground is to be a place where everyone can have discussions about things that, on the majority of other forums, would be removed.
Basically an uncensored forum that promotes freedom of speech.
At the moment, I haven't put up so many boards. As mentioned above, it would just be empty anyways. I'm waiting for more members first.

I don't know if the best place for this would be on an IPB, especially since this kind of forum breaks a big number of rules in the EULA, which obviously could lead to it being shut down.

Suggestions for a better place to get this kind of forum up and running?

Note: I'm a complete newbie on webdesigning and programming boards, but I'll read about it on some suggested pages.

You really should make or find a skin for it. Another thing, There's no point in havnig one forum per category, so you should combine some.
