There's quite a lot of debate about how good a Mac actually is. I have considered getting one but i don't have enough money for that. I thought they were really great and because I'm into film and stuff and thought it would be much better but after reading the topic "One thing PC users can do that Mac users can't" and reading the article by Maddox i was slight put off and confused.
What do you think about them?

Well Macs are better because 1) They have access to better creativity applications, and 2) anything a PC can do that a Mac can't can be fixed by getting a Virtual PC, so that your Mac will run stuff only PCs could before.

My family has an iMac that we all share, but I also have a Dell laptop...

I think the Mac is really good for the artsy types (me).

I have both. I use the Mac for videos, but in the end. Pc wins.

Vista ( made by microsoft ) was worried for about 2 months

( please listen because my father used to work HIGH up in that division of microsoft now hes in the xbox divisoion)

they were worried for about 2 or 3 months that mac might beat vista... then they had a few guys go ahead and check it out more throughly my dad checked it out also even though he wasnt even asked to. Vista is just for basic shit... videos... Paints.. photobucket

or at least its better... for gameing... and internet usage... vista owns all

I don't think it's a matter of which is better but which you prefer using. Each have their own software and games that are available to each.

i own both a pc (2005 sony vaio laptop) and a mac (new macbook).

i love both.
i've used macs AND PC's my entire life. and although there are differences, i actually like both about the same. i went with mac for my new laptop in the end (after getting recommendations from several people too) for the graphics aspect, where they have a good reputation.

honestly though, i don't have a preference.

i never used a mac but its just a matter of opinion and what you need a computer for. mac r sposed to be better for pics and movies

I have both a Mac and PC.

Macs by far if the PC's run Microsoft.

I have used Macs all my life so you can tell where my vote is going. I've also used PCs but I have always been confused when using them.
