Like, are you emo, nerd, prep, outcast, what? Or is there no real "groups" in your school?
I'm halfway between a nerd and a prep, and halfway popular. I probably shouldn't be but I sit with the popular kids, who are kind of half emos.
This may seem like stereotyping, and it is, but I find social ladders interesting.

my school is so clicky, and we're racist. i'm not because neither of my parents are from the south, but that's besides the point.
i hang out with just my best friend mainly, but i'm associated with the preps/jocks first, then the stoners, then i'd say those random kids that dress european high fashion and listen to bad emo music borderline posers [but not really b/c we aren't posing as anything but wicked awesome].
wow i am such a random kid.

there aren't any "popular" people at my school. or at least i don't think so.
there are the football players/cheerleaders (which is stereotyped as the "popular" group, but in all actuality, they are just the unintelligent group, except for a select few of them)
there are creepers. who laugh weird and look at you weird.
there are the semi-popular/nerdy people, which is sort of where i hang out (im not necessarily a "semi-popular/nerdy person" though)
the hardcore/emo/scene people who are all straight F kids.
and then the ultimate band nerd people who hang out in the band room whenever they aren't in class.

Well my school is a bit small to have really distinct groups.
But there are little groups of people.
Let's see...I associate with the "stoners" mostly, but I have friends from lots of other groups too, so I don't know what "group" I belong to.

In my school we have academies.
IT, Business, Culinary, Auto, Construction, and IET. So most people hang out with people in there academies, for the most part.
Most people I talk to are in my academy, but thats just 'cause their in my classes and stuff. I talk to people in other academies too.
I talk to a lot of burnouts, and nerds too though. I'm really in no clique.

I wouldn't label myself and neither would my friends, cus they know I'm very versatile and open to all sorts of groups. I'm like one of those people who are buddy-buddy with everyone lol
But for people who don't truly know me, they would instantly label me as a popular prep.
Like this one time, there's this emo kid in my communications technology class. We never said anything to eachother for a month, so I decided to introduce myself one day. Anyways, after talking, he was like "Wow, you're a really cool girl.".. I was like "What do you mean by that?" .. and he said "Well, I never knew you would talk to me. I thought you were just another preppy bitch, but you're actually really nice!"

Preppy bitch.

yes, there are preps who suck.
there are other people who suck.
but it's not cause they're preps.
yeah, i don't know if i really have a label. i just sit with the fun people.

I don't label myself. [or anyone else for that matter....except chavs. They're fun to label.]
I s'pose where I go doesn't really have groups [well to my knowledge...well I s'pose peoples groups of friends could be split into different groups, but they mostly would consist of 'goths, punks & Chavs' oh and maybe prissy people? haha Iunno.] IfI had to be classed in agroup I guess I'd be a weird art person haha [everyone seems to think the art course people are weird?]. I know loads of people from different 'groups', but I guess I mostly hang out with the art people, stoners, gamenerds haha, goths & punks [or as my friend's brother would call most of us 'alternative kids' lol.] It's odd referring to my friends by labels.
When I lived in america....I dunno what I would have been haha. I knew most people, but I guess the fact I was a cheerleader might have made me a prep? I really don't know. I didn't shop at any of the 'preppy' shops. Walmart was where it was at! haha j/k. And I didn't really hang out with 'preppy' people. I hung out with like loads of different people who liked different things and didn't [by appearance] look like they could be labelled.
I think making yourself part of a group is just silly.

people fall into two catagories of cliques which get divided into sub-cliques
the first one is what grade your in
theres a lot of tension between the grades at my school [my parents jusst HAD to send me to an all girls school
and then there are the regular cliques
which bring the grades together
i fall into the freshman catagory, and im at least sort-of friends with everyone in my grade except for three people, who hate me because im new there and refuse to conform to their communistic ways
then i fall into the "GSA/Art Club/japanamation triad group", even though im only in GSA
the "I don't take a class from Senor Conway but i always end up in his classroom after lunch and during break, and blare loud obnoxious music from his weird projector" group
the drama geeks group, half of them are an embarrassment to acting society, the other half belongs on broadway
and finally
the preps.
but honestly if you came to my school, you could be friends with just about anyone there...

I played different roles in different groups. I hung out with the popular crowd but was quite around them. With other groups though I was the star of the show.
So I guess I borderlined popularity. In my school if you don't hunt deer or drink beer you're not really popular, so I guess that's why I wasn't.

My school is really cliquy, but not in the...popular/unpopular social ladder way.
Like deademery said, we've got the jocks/cheerleaders, but they just dumb, and think they're cool because they like to party, and no one else really likes them.
And then we've got like, the "stairdwellers", who are all the goth/emo/smelly kids who hang out underneath the main big staircase in the middle of the commons.
And then there's the dramie kids, who are just super into the plays and stuff, and they all pretty much hang out together.
And then there's like...the intelligent people, I guess you could say. It's like, the group of people that are in AP classes and such, and that group kinds of splits into two; there's like, the gamers/nerds, and the people that will like, throw parties where they have lots of alchohol and drugs.
Personally, I'm freinds with a lot of people. Like, the only group I don't have any really good freinds out of are the jocks/cheerleaders. But the group I primarily hang out with is the gamers, I guess. Which is strange, because I don't game at all.
But yeah, there's all these different cliques and stuff, but they all kind of overlap. I don't think I know anyone that I would classify into just one group.
