As you can see from my avatar, I have pet rats, 2 female, named Isis and Calisto. People generally either love them or stare at me incredulously, like "ewww, why would you want to keep those things alive?!".
I have taught them to climb up a pair of stockings onto the end of my bed, and jump into my hands. They will also come running and put their front paws up on my fingers when I call them. I have also had pet goldfish, a budgie(budgerigar)(actually that was my sister's) 2 rabbits and a golden retriever named Napoleon after the puppy in the movie...I mean, the French conqueror..
Funny stories include the time my sister, who was about 3 at the time, pouring dish-washing liquid all over Napoleon as a puppy. She wanted to give him a bath, and when my mum caught her, Napoleon was sitting there with a pitiful look on his face, with all his fur matted down with sticky dish-washing liquid.
And once my rats ate a hole in one of my skirts....WHILE I WAS WEARING IT!!! Naughty rats...
