The best part about mono (monoural) is that, it lacks the overly zealous production by Phil Spector. I mean, take a listen to the Beatles "Let It Be" album. Paul McCartney was so upset by this in 1970, he re-released "Let It Be Naked" in 2003 and it sounds much better
