Well, you know how the IPB icon has a slight fade when every topic in that catagory is viewed? I was wondering if it may be possible to change it so it doesn't require every topic within that catagory to be clicked. Since there are some lame posts no one wants to go in because someone is trying to advertise and such or it's not a topic you're interested in or for whatever the reasons. I'm not sure of everyone else, but if it's just me then forget about this but if everyone else is either tired of having to click every topic to make it so the main IPB icon shows you that nothing is new or just wants it to be easier to see whats's actually new that you want to view.
I'm not even sure this is making all that much sense. Well, basically the IPB icon shows something is new but it's always something I don't click into since I'm not interested.
Maybe someone understands this and can explain it better.

How's Anthony going to know what topics you're probably going to look at and which ones you don't like?

I have a question, this is the most relevant topic. Is there any way to make the closed topics go away? Like erasing them or something? Just a thought, since they make the forum like 4 pages long.

NO! If topics were meant to be deleted then the moderator would delete them instead of closing them for people to see the mistake made by the topic poster.

Thanks for looking into it ^^ but I have another question. The forum looks a bit cooler now with some changes, but what does it mean when a topic has a chat bubble as an icon and has a plus sign in it or an arrow pointing up? I checked the bottom where the icons are but don't seea description.

You just put your mouse on the image and a short description will appear. The red one with the arrow means new posts, and the blue bubble with arrow means no new posts, etc..

That's what i meant.
red + arrow = new posts.
blue + a plus sign = no new posts*
blue bubble + tick = no new posts

When they have a + or ^ it means that you've posted there.

ok thanks. That clears it up.

About the first post I made on this topic. Yesterday when I used another computer elsewhere I was logged on as guest and I noticed when I clicked into a catagory, then a topic, then the quicklink Smosh Forums at the top in a topic, it clears all the topics as viewed and the smosh logo in the main section turns grey. This was the only way I found to do it which is good after viewing what was needed first.
But when I came back and tried it under my username it doesn't do the same. Is it a big or was it like this before I posted this topic, cus I didn't know about it before I posted this topic.
EDIT
I also like how if the user comments after their own comment it adds to their previous one Nice feature
