im reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold at the moment, and im super excited for the movie to come out!!

This is related to the discussion because I don't know how the movie will ever be as good as the book since in the book you see the thoughts and feelings of the characters, whereas in the movies you kinda have to piece it together.

I like books more!
Don't get me wrong. I love movies, but books are just better because you get to know the characters more. You get to know the thoughts and emotions of the characters.

Depends what book or movie it is. Most books are better than movies, because they can include more ideas and stuff that movies cant. Also movies most of the time are based of books, and they drop out parts of the books. I would say that movies are better for visualization, but if you really want to know what is going on, go grab a good book. That is why most of the time I read the book before I go see the movie.

I'd rather read the books, because sometimes the movies can be really fucked up to hell.
Example: The Eragon movie.

I don't mind when books are turned into movies as long as they don't completely ruin the story and fuck up the plot, miss the point, etc. etc...

Watching a movie then reading a book is a different experience than reading the book then watching the movie.
If you watch the movie first it can be a lot more interesting, since while you're reading the book, you'll think about a lot of the differences.
But reading the book first can get you more hyped up and wondering what differences there are before you see the movie.

Books forsure, with the exception of Nicholas Sparks who is a shitty writer yet has pretty good plot ideas so the movies usually turn out better since you don't have to read his terrible descriptions.
