This question has been asked a LOT lately..
especially since the Twilight movie is coming out on friday.
I looked up the threads.. and there was none with this topic..
So which one do you like most?
Harry Potter?
Twilight?
or
Lord of the rings?
Personally, I like Harry Potter.
I think the 6th movie is going to have a lot of success in theaters this summer.
(Maybe more than twilight...?)

Harry Potter.
Twilight is like a gossip girl book.. with vampires and a less girly cover.
It's for fourteen year old obsessive girls.
and Lord of the rings..
I just couldn't read it..
It was a little boring.
Harry potter pwns both of them.
I love it. =)

C'mon, you can't get better than Lord of the Rings...It's like the mother of all good fantasy books, plus, it's in a totally different league to Harry Potter and Twilight, although I like those books too.

QFT. I love HP. I haven't read Twilight though, but I'm seeing the movie just to see what the damn fuss is all about.

Yeah I'm the same, I read them all so long ago and thought they were great, but all the fangirls just scare me :/

It's a toss-up between Harry Potter and LOTR. Personally I like both, but I'd say Harry Potter more.

Harry Potter, hands down. Why? I just don't agree with all the fuss with the Twilight series, and I read the Hobbit. I could not get to the actual Lord of the Rings series.
Harry Potter is win.

i like how big twilight is now cuz of the movie. ive never heard of it and i have read many books.
my particular favorite would be Bean's series in the "Ender's Shadow" till the end. Ender's series are really amazing, but i like the battle school a lot it was amazingly written.
and of course "hitchhikers guide to the galaxy"

How dare you defile the name of Tolkien with this rubbish?
He is one of the few exceptions to the rule of thumb about fictional books; The more made up words there are, the worse the book is.
Harry Potter and Twifail are nothing compared to him. Or Gene Wolf, for that matter. Book of the New Sun is an amazing series. Garth Nix is okay.

So, Twilight kind of sucks. a lot.
The Harry Potter series is something I actually enjoy reading that isn't written by Chuck P.

i'd have to either say harry potter or twilight. idk harry potter got me hooked on reading when i was in the second grade, and i STILL love them. the movies are great, too. i've read the first three twilight books, and i loved them! it's a little strange because i hate all romantic stories, but something about twilight was just intoxicating. (i'd like to point out that i'm not an obsessive fan girl. they disgust me.) not sure i wanna see the twilight movie, though. i just don't think that a movie can EVER live up to the book.

Lord of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
Harry Potter is a great series to read and the culture in it is so enlightening, but when it comes down to literature, J.R.R. Tolkien owns.
Mind you, I read the Twilight series, I just don't think it was well written. It seemed to be based on irrationality and that didn't fly with me =/
