I have a 2G 16 GB iPod Touch and the battery seems to be a little buggy.

First, when I charge my iPod, in about 30 minutes, it says it is 50% charged. Keep in mind the battery was completely dead when this happened. It continues to happen, even right now.

Second, playing games for about 20 minutes brings the battery to 20%. This is crazy.

Anyone else having these problems?

your battery has obviously lived its life. Just replace it. You can google how to replace ipod batterys and where to get them, OR

you can simply buy a new ipod.
