I've only played Guitar Hero, but I'm willing to bet Rock Band is better, simply because you can do more than just play guitar.

You've played both which doesn't mean you KNOW which is better it means you have a proper opinion on it.

GH for the guitar,
RB for the drums.. I prefer Rock Band drums.. I have both so I don't know..
Actually I don't care, it depends if I feel like playing GH or RB for the songs or... meh.
But if I'm playing the guitar I totally go for GH.

Guitar Hero has better graphics for but Rock Band has the better song selection. I mean, Painkiller by Judas Priest? I'm getting the game when it comes out in Australia.

Dude Rockband is waaaay better than Guitar Hero. Rockband has may have less clothing to purchase, but you can customize everything to it. The people you play look waaaay more realistic than Guitar Hero and Rockband Beatles is coming out soon and I'm a big fan of The Beatles. I'm not saying Guitar Hero is a bad game, I have numbers 2 and 3 for my 360, but I also have Rockband 1 and 2 that are better than Guitar Hero

guitar hero is better, and guitar hero world tour, and gh metallica have drums and mic so they're pretty equal there
they're making a gh van halen
if you only have like the 1-3 than you haven't played better ones like gh metallica or aerosmith

I played GHWT and for some songs all they had was an "eye" that moves a round, and I was like WTF? GH 2 was the best, It has beastly songs, like free bird, Jordan, Woman, the trooper... the list goes on!
