thats a hard question. i think its diferent for everyone. i'v never been in love before so i cant say. but i guess you should know in your heart that you want to be with that person forever.

Being in love with someone doesn't nesseceraly mean you want to be with them forever. Also I'm sure he wouldn't of meant it in that way. I think people fall in love without even realising it.

When you love somebody, you love Everything about them, even their flaws. You dont have doubts about them and you can't stand not being with them. when you want to be with them forever. When you would die for them, or give anything up for them. thats how you know you're in love. (or at least my idea of it)

i dont know. the only time i thought i was it was bullshit and the guy was just really good at faking forevers. love seems to usually be an illusion of the heart so theres no sure fire way to tell.

what they did to you is horrible. You shouldnt look on love that way because of one person. Think of them as a mistake. Each mistake leads up to perfection. You deserve better than that.

Well me and my ex broke up due to her moving 5 hours away. We have moved on and dated other people and it took a good 6 or 7 months for me to finally accept that it wouldn't work out even though i really wanted it to. Now its been a year and it doesnt bother me anymore, but I still think about her almost everyday and apparently she does too. And we still talk. So after a year my feelings never changed I guess thats how I figured out I was in love.
