I'm a bit surprised there isn't a thread for this yet...do people not watch the news?

Islamic extremists rage war in Mumbai at train stations, a Jewish Center, and two of India's top hotels: Taj Mahal Hotel and Oberoi Hotel. So far a reported 125 killed and 327+ injured. The terrorists inside the building asked the hostages of their nationality: they seem to be looking for westerners.

The war has reached its 'final stages' according to news anchors. The Taj Mahal hotel now only contains 2-3 terrorists with about 16 hostages. Governments from around the world reach out to India offering support in any way neccessary.


If you want to see facts, just go to any news site. CNN has a good live feed coming from CNN-IBN (its station in India)

I'm not trying to be 'cool', I'm just simply stating that I don't care about something that doesn't effect me, which, if you think about it, makes sense.

Yes, of course it makes sense for a person to only care for themselves. Because thats how the world becomes a better place. Like when soldiers lost their lives overseas in WWI and WWII. They should've just stayed home, right? It didn't concern them. The Germans weren't bothering us. We should've just let Hitler do as he pleased and let millions more innocent people perish. Thats a real progressive way of thinking. Pat yourself on the back, jackass.

UPDATE: The violence at the Oberoi Hotel has ceased. Gunmen shot down, 25 hostages rescued. 20 hostages still in Taj Mahal hotel.

Do something about it or don't worry about it.

My friend came back from India, one week ago.
And he stayed in that hotel.
He was lucky he didn't get hurt.

Why so serious?

To be honest, although its terrible, I don't really care either. I'm not saying it to look cool, or state that I'm better than some act of terrorism, but, if I cared about every horrible thing that went on in the world, I'd be a wreck of a person.

That said, I wouldn't have bothered bringing this up in the first place, and definitely not in such an ignorant way. Unnecessary Matt.
