I just want to know everyone's opinion about blood transfusions, and if anyone knows of the alternatives.

My mom has studied other religions basically her whole life and when she was doing some bible study stuff with Jehova's Witnesses when I was like 8 and they got to the part where they were talking about blood transfusions my mom brought up the fact that my dad had a ton of blood transfusions after the fire and they were like, that's not okay and she said, if it was a choice between losing your husband and the father of your children or doing blood transfusions, the right choice would be to let him die? and they said, Oh, it's okay, we believe in remarriage. Another time they came to the door at a friend's house and my dad came up behind our friend as he was talking to them and they said something about my dad and not being able to be saved because he's already been through the flames of hell. biiiiiitches.

I wanna give blood but you have to be 17 which im not happy about but i dont understand i can donate my organs even if i die at the age of 16 yet i cant give my unused blood makes no sence to me....

This has plenty to do with religion. It's your religion that brought about this topic and that goes hand in hand with the silliness of being against blood transfusions.

Well that's something of a double standard, now isn't it? So I can't criticize the practices of say, Branch Davidians just because of my religion? Well, my dear, that's racist. This is no place for hate, I'd prefer to allow everyone to express their views freely.

Here, our school has blood drives and we can be 14 or 15 with parent's consent to donate and 16 without parental consent.

Noooo! It cannot be! The Bible clearly says "Thine wine of life must not mix, for who in hell drinks white wine with red wine shalt be lightning bolted and spill thine seed upon the Earth of the Whore of Babylon".

But if Jesus turned the wine into his blood, and gave it to his diciples, wouldn't that be mishandling of blood?
