As you might know, all 567 Circuit City stores are going out of business. They're having a huge blowout sale but they don't have prices of their items on their site, just on commercials. I got dibs on the Flip Mino in black!

Go to their website to see.

Yeah..

I dont recall ever even going into a circuit city. But i see commercials, and if they have good going-out-of-business prices like they say, i may try to get some stuff.

I don't go there much either. Maybe around 10 times. It's sad to see it go even though I don't go there a lot.

i hate best buy because i know more about their products than their employees do. i choose not to shop their. i buy online, or at gamestop.
spence3020
Now I have to drive like 30min to get to the nearest best buy. I went look at cameras hoping for a sale but its all bullshit. Nothing is marked down.
Ashuku
Yeah, everything is only like. 10-20% off. Its pretty lame.
gspot
canadian circuit cities are staying open
MasterPwner
I bet it's because Best Buy came.
And I came for it.
gspot
its definetly not best buys competition that put them outta business, circuit city is 60 years old, best is 40 years old.

It definitely was Best Buy that did it. Their stores have been declining for a while and they didn't have what it takes to make it through this recession.

cara_the_cutie
yeah it is pretty sad for them
my dad used to work there in like the early/mid 90s
GOFORBROKE
If they're closing down. They should simply put 60% off, but don't just think, "Shit, 60% off." Review the price and make sure it's even worth it.

What they do is, keep the same price and just increase the "Original: 900 dollars to 1700 and put Price: 900 and making you think your saving money.

Too bad there wasn't a thread for Woolworths.

Wow, that sucks. Usually going out of business sales have things for 50%-70% off
neenerbeenerx93
maybe it's because their customer service sucks and everyone there acts like they would rather be someplace else. i don't blame them, i would act like that too if the only job i could manage to get was at circuit city.
{bryony}
I'm guessing this is like some sort of American Woolworths?

Oh woolies! ): 99 years young.

The message on their website is kinda sad.
iLubChuSmosh

Radioshack isn't going to be a surprise at all if and when it finally leaves the tech marketplace. What's screwing these companies up is the amount/quality of service that the stores provide for the customer. Best Buy has this really great customer service staff that are so damn lovable and knowledgeable [or maybe they're the best bullshitters]

If anyone's going to stop Best Buy, they're going to have to make sure the customer knows they're getting quality. Look at the iPod, it's expensive as fuck but you know it's not some cheap Taiwanese mp3 player with horrible tech support.
spaedin
Dude, I'm gonna go check out their sales today.
