I'm about sick of hardcore christians on here saying, the bible says it is true, therefore it is.

not only is it Christianity..but all religion..is just one big MARKETING scam to make money...see i beleive that religion didnt always used to be corrupt with greed....it had simple moral values of life...(other than the beleive in me BS)..it was about being kind to others treating others with respect and not giving a candy what people have to say about you...i am agnostic...meaning i belevie in whatever comes to mind on any given day...its called freedom of choice...if you want to beleive your going to go to heaven because you do good things....GREAT WONDERFULL but dont push your beleifs on me..im not afraid of death io dont care what happens to me or where i go i care about the NOW..and what is going to happen in the next 10 seconds of my life....no need to make up imaginary things that are not real....i think the whole going to heaven or hell thing is just like santa clause if your good he brings you gifts...so if your good you go to heaven if your bad you go to hell....and the concept is with every religion..it just keeps people from doing bad things

So then what do you think? That religion is good because keeps people from doing bad things or bad because is "greedy and merchindising"?
And another thing, everyone is always free to choose, just that some of them make chooses for all their life, and others choose to take important desisions more contastly, I hope it doesn't sounds rude =/

People should be allowed to say and believe whatever they want.

Being agnostic, I think that saying "My book says it, yours is wrong; I'm right" is truly an abomination to humanity and to all that logic and sense stand for. It's completely for control and to keep people under the boot of a religious government. Why would I say that? Look at all the governments before us that were based on religion. The Egyptians, the Greeks, the Holy Roman Empire, the Maya, the Aztec, the Inca, the Chinese, the Japanese, and the mainstream Romans. I just listed the most powerful civilizations in the history of man kind; all of which were governed and controlled by religion. Some would argue that there are historical references to Jesus from non-Christians like in "the history of the Jews", but the Church always claimed that Jesus was real, henceforth, people just claimed they believed it, otherwise, they got stoned to death for heresy(which is even more proof it's for control). Even if Jesus did exist, people in that time were not exactly trustworthy, and almost always stretched their tales to make them seem like a prophet who speaks the truth.
