If youve been following the ARG for the past 2 years like i did, you should be having a mental orgasm right now.

If you havnt, the trailer should send you well on your way

I'm pretty excited for it. I was curious about it ever since I've seen the first trailer. The second one seemed like it was a bit more summer actiony than being a whole smart sci-fi film, and it sort of took away the whole mysterious thing.

I'm pretty excited for it also. I haven't been waiting quite as long as you though, Fredman. I still think that its going to be awesome as hell.
ultimatenerd22
it sounds like a pretty good movie
maxijesus
Iīve seen a couple of trailers and it sound like itīs gonna be an awesome movie.
Dragoon3k5
I want to see it. It just seems really interesting to me. I like alien movies so I'm hoping this is as good as it looks.
KevBot
It looks like a good movie. there are loads of cool trailers and there is even a phone number to call.
chimerah
for me it was the worst of all x
jessicareal
that movie looks damn good
Tom_Kaulitz
I've been waiting for this for a while too.
I like the kind of movies that don't reveal too much, like how Cloverfield was with those different sites and puzzles.
kunu
I can't sexin' wait.
MrTingle
Interesting concept. Usually alien movies have the aliens killing the humans... but this is more like ET but adult-themed.

If District 9 does well in the box office they will start working on the Halo movie.
A-Dizzle
I really hope it's good. I've got some secretly high hopes for a good sci-fi movie like this.

I thought it was going to be like 28 days later because in the beginning of the commercial it said something about 28 years ago.

I've heard that they will make District 10 if this does well. Spielberg seems to be the one getting to do Halo.

Now I leave to go see District 9 at the Universal Citywalk. HOORAY.

Just got back from the midnight showing. Went with 5 of my friends each hyped to see the feature.

This was not the greatest film of all-time or anything like that. But it is one that should be seen. Film has a nice story which was easy to understand, it had a nice slow build getting toward the more action heavy end and all the aliens and weapons were quite cool think 'Ratchet and Clank' in real life. It was a nice blend of sci-fi, action and horror everyone should check it out.

looks awesome

I completely agree. Not the best movie, but definately worth watching. There was a good build, and definately a great blend of sci-fi, action, and a horror throughout it. I admit to not completely getting into it at first, but as it went on I grew to like it. Then again I am not a sci-fi person.

Saw this one with my buddy just yesterday. He and I thought that
SPOILER:
van der Merwe's transformation into an alien
was eerily similar to "The Fly". I also liked how van der Merwe teamed up with "Christopher" the alien and stormed the government building with the alien weapons.

For Christmas I definitely want, not only this movie on Blu-Ray but a lightning-bolt gun that vaporizes people into goo.

The concept was amazing and I think it was filmed very well. The last 40 minutes was awesome... but not enough so to make me forget the first half of the movie which had me bored out of my mind.

You know a movie is boring when you realize you are sitting in a movie theater, this happens to me sometimes at the beginning of movies (until I get into them) or for a short instance in a boring part. I was aware of my surroundings pretty much 10 minutes after it started until the last 40 minutes. I contemplated leaving, but I wanted to know where the hell the movie was going.

That being said I will repeat that the last 40 minutes was amazing. It wasn't until this point that I actually cared about any of the characters. I'll probably see the 2nd one on dvd so I can fast forward through the boring parts.

I really liked it. There were flaws and the whole skipping out of documentary thing took a while to get a hold of, but considering that a movie of this epic scale was the director's first is pretty great. Even more amazing was that the film was produced independently and for only $30 million dollars, even though it had great special effects.
I hope Neill Blomkamp doesn't make Halo after this. Maybe another movie in the D9 universe, whether if it's a direct sequel or a different story.I'd kind of like to see a movie that takes place when the aliens land.

Wasn't it directed by Peter Jackson? He did the Lord of the Rings series, and those were on an even more epic scale.

Oh wait, nevermind, it was produced by Peter Jackson
