It wasnt scary... I mean it was just too much suspense and nothing happened until the end. Just dumb imo.
AndrewMan

OMG THANKKKKKKKKK YOU . THE MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE AND JUST DRAGGED. I CANT BELIEVE THEY MADE SO MUCH MONEY OFF THIS CRAPTASTIC MOVIE
missyd
i disagree. the movie wasn't scary, but had a nice building of tension throughout. felt very "real".

the audience, however, sucked. they were horrible and screamed at non-scary parts. i went when it was only playing at one theater in san diego (and at one time only) and the theater was PACKED - and full of high schoolers.

i think if you were home alone and watched it, you would be sufficiently creeped out. it was a movie that almost felt like it could possibly happen to you (unlike most scary movies).

it wasn't scary but it was a good move...
5*starChick

this movie was different. it wasnt pop out startle shock scare. it wasnt blood and gore scare. it wasnt high action chase you with a chainsaw scare...

it gave me one of those feelings in my stomach. that bottomless pit feeling. the hair standing on end feeling. the sickly eerie feeling.
and, i really liked the authentic feeling. handheld cameras and night vision... no more, no less.

im not gonna sit here and spew all my personal paranormal experiences, but for people who have had those real encounters with something they couldnt explain, i think this movie really got to them and let them experience from a third person perspective something that really plays off their fears or puts them back into that situation.

in conclusion. i really liked it. it was in a whole different ballpark as far as horror movies are concerned. not some played out boring ass halloween or friday the 13th bullsh!t.

Yeah, Ive had those creepy unexplainable moments before, but I just think of it as my over active imagination. I don't believe in demons or any of that candy.

Oh and btw wtf was with the whole walking outside to the swing scene? That looked like everyday sleepwalking.
kd2114
that movie sucked!

you dont have to believe in demons or ghosts. but, just when really crazy unexplainable sh!t happens, you get that bizarre feeling of "holy sh!t was that what i thought it was? is it even possible" and then when you try to rationalize, you go: "am i crazy???" and then it goes into the "no f*cking way" stomach drop.

i think the movie just did a great job at recreating that situation and that feeling, for those of us who have indeed had one of them in the past.

It should be good, want to see it.

Macgyver The Complete Series is synonym for resourceful and creative. If you look those words from the dictionary, you'll see MacGyvers photo and a text: dude, who can make anything out of a roll of duct tape, dental floss and some loose pieces of stone.

That's the whole basic idea for a show. Macgyver (Richard Dean Anderson) is a secret agent, or something, who uses his brain before his brawn always coming up a clever solution on dispatching the baddies without the need of using a gun. Though he might do explosives now and then. wink.gif Mac's boss is Pete Thornton (Dana Elcar), boss of Phoenix foundation, that seems to dabble in a bit of everything, just like Mac. Another regular character is Jack Dalton (Bruce McGill), Mac's adventurous pilot friend who is often in trouble or is gonna get in one in order to help his friend.

It was great at keeping you in suspense, but it seemed like it was supposed to have this great atmosphere but it really didn't. And the ending they chose was pretty bad, I would like to see the alternates. I mean, I liked everything until the last 2 seconds.
Liz.
Craptastic. There is an alternative ending though.

I wish i could see that Paranormal Activity mellow.gif

I went and saw this one the other night. The movie didn't really get to me up until the parts where
SPOILER:
the girl said "I feel it breathing on me" and you see the little gust of breath go on her hair, kinda creepy IMO

and where
SPOILER:
she got dragged out of bed and down the hall, IMO a lot scarier than the ending
.
But other that that the movie didn't get to me. Not the door slamming, the shadows, or the footprints.

that second bit was probably the part that weirded me out the most. I liked the movie, but wasn't insanely scared the whole time either (probably had a lot to do with the fact that I saw it during the day, and also the ending had sort of been spoiled for me). won't lie though, it did get to me when I woke up in the middle of the night, and it made me a little paranoid for the next couple of days. I'd keep hearing little (explainable) noises around our apartment, turning on more lights than usual at night, and I had to make sure my feet were tucked into the covers when I went to bed.

okay. so, there are actually three different endings to this movie.. there is one where she goes down stairs, screams, he goes down there and dhe kills him, she comes back upstair and rocks back and forth by the bed for like 3 days...
yes, kinda boring. this is the version i saw.
then later, talking to my sister, she saw a different ending, she saw all of what i said, plus what happened down stairs, then back upstairs, the girl, pushed micha into the camera, and then she (had face was very different, scary & messed up) messed with the camera, then, attcked micha and killed him..
and i dont know what the other ending is... i have heard that there is 3...
hope this kinda helps on what you think of it!!! wink.gif laugh.gif
(oh, yeah, and im talking about the endings!!)

Good movie for the budget, and it doesn't bored you to death, but wasn't overly scary either. Everyone who was telling me it was scary before I went to see it was a pussy, apparently.

The third ending has Katie slit her own throat after killing Micah offscreen.
