I enjoyed going to Phuket in Thailand (before the tsunami). Really want to go there again. It's easily the best vacation I have been on. Been to other places aswell ofcourse. When the summer comes, I will try out a place in Croatia, and hoping it will be great. Post your own recommendations here!

Queens. Not that calm. And there are many towns around here that are pretty bad. Most of them are nice, but a lot are just like any other bad neighborhood.

It's different than places like the Bronx though. I lived in the Bronx until I was 10. It's more.. "lively" there. People WALK to the store, sit outside on their stoop, talk to their neighbors.. it's like everyone is family. In my new neighborhood on LI, everyone drives EVERYWHERE, no one is social, and no one goes outside. I feel weird when I play basketball in the street in front of my house. It's too quiet.

Where I live in NY gets so many tourists in the summer and they are all dumb. Like I'll be downtown and there will be large groups taking pictures of everything and they are like "OMG TAKE A PICTURE OF US!" So don't come here! I'll hate you if you're dumb and there is nothing worth seeing even though it used to be like the nation's number one tourist spot in the nineteenth century and had the largest hotel in the US for that time.

NYC is really cool. My first time when I was little wasn't fun though because I had never seen a homeless person before.

I usually visit NYC like once every 2/3 weeks or so with my mom. We really just hang out.
We'd be walking, then you would see these people with bags NYC souvenirs. It's so funny.
Also, they start hugging the empire state building when they walk past it.. as if they have never seen a building before.
I would see them talking hundreds of pictures of nonsense things, ie. the SKY. A BIRD. etc.

Yeah, there are a lot of them. A lot of them fake it though. I was on the subway once with my mom, and some guy asked for money and he gave a huge story on how he needs money for stuff because he's getting a job 'tomorrow.' My mom didn't give him any money, and I asked her why when we got off. She said that guy is there EVERYDAY asking for money. He lies about the whole job thing, and he's really not poor.
