Full Version: Topic Title mishaps.

I always see people making mistakes in their Topic Title. Either because they can't spell or they're too lazy to type properly.

Or, they spelled it correctly but want to change the name because some peopple may not get what the thread is about.

For those reasons, I think there should be something on Smosh where you can change the topic and/or description of threads you have made. Sure you could just press back a million times until you get back to where your making the thread, but that takes too long.

An example of where this would be useful is a thread I just made about The White Stripe's new album ("Icky Thump"; see the thread).

Please consider this idea. I think it would be very useful.

That's a cool idea. But people may end up screwing with the title every minute or so. It would be too confusing, and hard to find threads if the title is constantly changed.
Mods have the power to change the titles; so they usually fix typos.

As you were saying about the mods can change it then mail a mod you know will be on soon and they can change the name for you.

When I tried that, It posted the topic again. So I had the typoed topic and the corrected one. So there were two of the same threads open.

That takes too long since the mods arnt always on and some are slow

Its a good idea, MOST forums have that option, I think Anthony just turned it off.

I don't really like the idea. It would get weird with topic titles changing. For the most part we take care of it, but if it doesn't happen right away, message a mod, because I don't see Anthony changing it.

They'll only be able to change it like once or twice on that thread. Afterwards it stays the exact same until the day it dies (a.k.a. gets closed).
