Why is cursing so horrible? I curse quite alot, but it helps me release my anger with words other then punching a wall or something worse. Many many bad words were never even bad words in the beginning such as "Female Dog=bitch" or "Male Donkey=jackass" or "Fuck= annoy".
I try not to curse around people that don't like listening to it to be considerate, but I still don't care about it at all...
If you curse alot, will you be damned in hell? I seriously don't think that would be fair. For one, cursing is usually obtained from a bad environment or bad people. Well, God gave cursers that life, and it would really be God's fault why they curse...
By the way, I have never been to a church, and I don't understand much about Jesus or religion. So if I am wrong about the hell thing, please don't flam me...

Dumbass, that's a slang term for it... Trust me, if you study and actually try to find the real meanings, fuck just meant to annoy or if you're annoyed by someone.
Examples= "Oh, why are you fuckin with me?" or "Oh, i'm fucked"
Seriously, read books, and talk to people...

I say "I'm fucked" when I'm off my face on some substance or when I'm in a big heapa dooda.
I never say it when I'm annoyed. "Fucked off" maybe. But that's the same as "Pissed off" which derives from "piss" - "to urinate"
The English language is a fucked (messed) up one, there are always going to be different uses of words.

Well, you can curse how much and often you want if you don't believe in somehting that bars it. There's no "common hell" which you'll get in if you curse...haha, hell, no.
People saying ten times "fuck" in one sentence don't curse, it's their way of expression, their language already. So cursing is presentable nowadays, if you want.

I hardly do it atall, especially infront of girls. I just don't think it's a nice habbit and there's not really any need for it. I think if you can't express yourself without swearing then you're clearly not a very articulate person.

Exactly. However, it's still a possibility to differ courteousness from rudeness.

K being serious now.
I used to swear LOADS. And I mean loads. But it even made my friends angry and now I try and express myself as much as I can without swearing. People often take you more seriously.
But it's such a tough habit to break. I still let the coffcoff 'occasional' curse slip out. Often I don't even realise til afterwards.
Maybe I should get a swear jar...

I believe that they're just words. It's pretty wierd how people can think that stupid made up words can be "evil" to say. At least that's my opinion.
Kind of funny, though, how we think some words mean bad things.
Shit actually stands for "Ship High In Transit".
The term was stamped onto bundles of manure back when dry forms of it (which weighed a lot less) were transported by ship. Once water came into contact with the dried manure it started the production of methane gas. If someone came down into the lower decks (where the bundles were stored) with a lantern, then the ship would expload.
Most of the time, the water mixed with the dried manure and formed a terrible smell.
There's other origins of "curse words" that didn't mean what they do today.

Fornication Under Consent of the King.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with "cuss words" other than the fact that they show emotions that most people can't handle.

Yes, but if you use them as punctuation like some people do, no one will EVER take you seriously and will most likely end up angry at you a lot of the time.
