Mostly in music I think it's bullshit, but I found a site where they've found some really interesting "discoveries" about the human psyche and believe that when you speak, you are also projecting your real thoughts backwards. For example, I saw on this site a tape from a court thing, a mother was being questioned about that murder of the child model (it was like 10 years ago now, but it was a huge controversy) and the mother was suspected of killing her daughter. In the tape when played forwards, she says "I didn't do it."
But played backwards, she clearly says "It was me, I'm the guilty one." Or something like that.

So, what you say, bullshit? Truth?

And if I can find that website again, I will. It was very very cool.
Personally, backwards music is scary as hell, but backwards speech is just plain cool.

I always hear about this. It's interesting, but I can't say that I know the truth of it either way. I will say that I seriously doubt that demonic sounds are on these tracks when played backwards for a reason. It could be a misinterpretation, or someone pretending to know what they're talking about and pointing out things about the sounds that are really not relevant at all.

I found some backwards messages, but they creep me out majorly so I won't bother posting them. I think it was in Move Along by AAR.

There's one where there's a verse from the bible read out by a demon. It's fucking creepy, I would have nightmares for weeks if I heard that shit.

But if anyone can find any others (including that one) I would welcome all additions. That first site was just to get us started, but theres a mighty plethora of shit to find, everyone can add something. Make it interesting.

I was thinking the exact same thing. This is what I meant by my other post. I think some people probably hear it played backwards, decide that it sounds enough like something that will get people's attention, and say that that's what it sounds like, with the hopes that some people willl hear it that way.

It's a hoax. If you heard it backwards without knowing there was supposed to be something there, you would hear nothing but nonsense. When they give you something that you think it's supposed to say, your brain tricks you into thinking it hears that. The only exception was the Beatles Revolution Number 9. That was an intentional easter egg on the record.

Actually, the Beck one, the one by the B52's and the ones Weird Al has done were all intentional. More artists started doing intentional one's after they originally became famous.


Mostly the intentional one's are jokes, and you can tell because they're so ridiculous, the B52's is the ingredients to a Big Mac and others say things like "Why would you do that?
