i am a smoker of cigarettes, i am of age, and im considerate of other people when i do smoke.

if i see someone coming near me when im smoking i back away and i always move when there are kids. i dont encourage people to smoke.

Smoking is NOT COOL so teens should stop thinking its cool. So people should quit smoking.

1. It is expensive (Maybe for my country)
2. It is harmful
3. your breathe will stink

I am not a big fan of cigarettes, but I have a lot of friends that do smoke them. I really don't like the smell but the fact that you move away from kids and you are considerate of other people is very nice. But it is hard to quit smoking them, so good luck.

I smoke but I'm not that big on it, I mainly smoke cigars. I just love them, but I do as you do. I move away, but I really only smoke when I am drinking.

If you are ok with it then don't let people bring you down about how bad it is for you because there are a lot of other things that you can be doing that is worse. As long as you know when to smoke and not when to smoke it really shouldn't matter, just don't let it take over your life.

I smoke, and its the worst thing I ever started doing. If you dont smoke, dont start. It can, depending on the type of person you are, completly rearange your lifestyle. None of my friends smoke, so, when I want to, I end up alone. It makes my family sad, and, for some people (myself included) it can be rediculously difficult to stop. I dont make alot of money, but I really want a Wacom tablet, but, I wind up buying smokes instead. Its awful. Hmmm...I sound like my Mom. (Proof that they know what they are talking about)

i think its easier if you keep yourself busy....when you have a craving for a cigarette....just do something else and in 15 minutes it would be gone

I refuse to smoke around those that dont smoke, last time i saw a child with its parent i put the cig up my sleave in order to not pollute the little kid, it burnt my sleave but meh ill get over it.

That's really stupid, It's nice of you to be careful around kids and all, but you're polluting everything around you when you smoke, and someone will eventually breathe it in and damage their lungs.

if people want to smoke its their choice, they know that there is more negatives than positives, but at the end of the day as long as they dont do it peoples faces, so we non-smokers aint at risk im not bothered. i just get pissed off when people been smoking 30 a day, an then when they are 50 they talk like 'god is punishing them' when they hear they got lung cancer.

Smokes smell stick on my clothes and everything..(I don't know did I wrote it right, but maybe you understand) And when my friends don't have money or they can't have smoke from anywhere, they have awfull Headache. Umm i have been brought up all my life ina smoking environment, for the first 14 years of my life i was subjected to passive smoking, i didnt see no harm it (hypothetically ofc) i knew that they smoked cus they were addicted i cant really say they wanted to... when i hit 14 i thoguht ill try this smoking business... golden virginia tobacco i started on <3

Its hard for me to 'Smarten' up because the 17 years i have been alive i have been subjected to smoke... so it doesnt bother me what so ever... fair enough i dont like it when a non smoker is about me whilst i have a cig... ill move a distance away from them, so they dont get a full whack off the remains off smoke.

I have had many non smokers try and make me quit... i seen documentaries on sky about smokers and everything that has happened to them... my grandad died from it, i see all that... but at the end of the day they are people who chose to smoke, and im one of them. whether non smokers liek it or not smokign will be around for ever... The government couldnt afford to illegalise it >.>

And yes smoking does make you smell... thats where bodyspray comes into to play

i'm not a smoker but i have done it a few times. it's pretty gross though. i hate the taste it leaves in your mouth and when i think of what it does to you if you're addicted i get really turned off from even being around someone who's smoking.

Ugh, smoking is the most disgusting habit. Nobody in my family smokes, so I'm quite lucky. There's chemicals in a cigarette that are used to preserve dead animals. Your lungs fill with tar. You spend huge amounts of money on cigarettes. You can kill yourself and those around you. After a few years of smoking, your skin turns yellow. Just ask yourself, is it worth it?

But yeah, I've smoked a few cigarettes. But I really only smoked like half the ciagarettes because it grossed me out. And I smoked them far away from eachother in that I didn't get addicted. The thing they say about them, that one cigarette is enough to get you addicted, is complete bullshit.

But yeah, once in a while I smoke the illegal stuff. But I don't let it control me and the only times I actually so smoke it are at times that I WANT to. Not because I've got a craving for it.

I personally think smoking is gross. Both my parents smoked when I was little and I got sick a lot because of it. They never knew why I would always come down with bronchitis, but thats the reason.

My dad has since quit and only smokes cigars when at family parties when drunk.

My mom still does it, but hides it from my brother because he thinks she quit.

I dont think I could ever become a smoker. The smell makes me so nauseous that I cant stand it.

None of my friends smoke. The only problem I ever really have with smokers is when they smoke in the bathrooms in school. cause it smells so bad in there and when you leave, you smell like smoke all day. its gross. dont smoke in the bathrooms for the love of god.

I don't think it really matters if you put the cigarette away around others or not. I'm not saying you aren't being considerate, because you are, but why aren't you worried at all about your own personal health? None of the smokers that have replied to this have really seemed to mention caring about their own health. Smoking ONE cigarette increases your chances of cancer... it's just...pointless. There are absolutely no positive outcomes to smoking. Think about it. How does smoking help anybody? I've never read stories about people who say smoking has really helped them, or changed their lives in a good way. Smoking only does bad things for you. If I put myself in his shoes (there's only one kid thats not my friend anymore), I'd have to go around acting like a complete retard. He always was like this, and that's probably why he picked up smoking. He pretty much smokes anything he can find. Every time I was around him while he was smoking, I would stay away so I didn't smell like smoke afterwords. He would always try to get me to smoke, but I said no all the time. Every time he wasn't smoking, he was trying to find a way to get something to smoke. He became friends with kids I would never even want to know, and hung out with them only because they could get him cigarettes and pot.
