Yeah... No myspace. And yes, it's my eye. I used Adobe Elements to put a filter over it so it looks like a painting/oil pastel. To hide my identity. *shifty eyes* But nothing else. No color touch ups, no reshaping, no Photoshop facelifts. The rest is all me. : ) I love my eyes. : D
*Wierd rant induced from reading drawing anatomy and psychology books*
In fact, I love all eyes. They facinate me, and are my favorite thing to draw. They're what draws me into a person's face. And, as said in the caption beneath my picture, "Eyes are the most expressive part of the face." And it's true. Your nose doesn't do much (flared nostrils, scrunched up, and normal), you mouth has about five speeds, open, open wide, neutral, smile, and frown. But the eyes are essential to expressing everything. You can even tell when a person is smiling without looking at their mouth. The way your cheeks make your eyes scrunch up makes them look happy. But you can narrow your eyes and look angry at it'll look totally different. You can tell if a person truly thinks something is funny just by the way their eyes are set. When authors write, "...but the smile didn't touch their eyes," it's true. If their eyes look normal or untouched in any way (not all "scrunched up" as said above) you can see the person is not 100% humored or happy. Or just thinks something is only mildly funny. But don't always count on that trick, it doesn't work all the time in all instances. Think about how much your eyes do. It's insane.
*End wierd rant*
Yep. I read too many anatomy (of the FACE, not the BODY. Getcho mind outta da guttah.) and psychology books. Damn them. : D Cal meeee! Maybe we can do something! I'll be at Dad's for two weeks starting Friday, so it'd be easy to get together. Of course, if you think I'm crazy after that rant, I understand. D :
