Armed & Famous: 10 Celebs Packing Illegal Heat
Celebs are packing heat these days! J-Lo and her twins can sleep easy at night knowing that hubby Mark Anthony has a permit to carry a concealed weapon to keep them safe.
But some celebs don't bother to jump through all the hoops of getting a legal weapons permit. They are packing illegal heat. Guns they have no permission to have, and are not registered to own. These celebs don't care about the law and have illegal guns, weapons, a gatt, a piece, pocket rocket, in other words "they're strapped." We did some research and figured out which celebs are packing illegal heat. Paparazzo beware!
In 2007 rapper T.I. missed his performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards when he was charged with Federal gun charges. Seems that the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was arrested in a federal sting after his bodyguard-turned-informant delivered 3 machine guns and two silencers to the hip-hop star. Turns out, machine guns are illegal. Which is too bad, cause I bet they are awesome.
Earlier this year Spencer Pratt was arrested in an airport in Costa Rica for illegal possession of a firearm. Spencer Pratt + illegal guns = horrifying.
Sean "Puffy" "P. Diddy" Combs
Sean "Puffy" "P. Diddy" Combs, CEO of Bad Boy Records, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, which stemmed from a shooting incident at a Manhattan club.
In July of 2007 police searched Lil' Wayne's tour bus when they allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the bus. (Of COURSE they smelled marijuana coming from the bus. It's Lil Wayne) Police found Weezy trying to conceal a .40-caliber gun.
Eminem pleaded "no contest" to felony gun charges. Turns out he was carrying a concealed weapon (a felony) when he ran into members of the Insane Clown Posse including Douglas Dail ouside of a Royal Oak, Michigan, car stereo shop. Who needs a weapon to protect themselves from ICP?
Front man for the 90's band Blues Traveler, John Popper, was arrested in Washington after being pulled over after cops caught him going more than 100mph. The police searched the car and discovered a cache of guns, weapons, and drugs in the vehicle.
Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. aka Snoop Dogg was arrested at the Bob Hope Burbank Airport in Los Angeles on suspicion of transporting marijuana... cops searched his house where they found an illegal gun. The rapper pleaded "no contest" and agreed to five years of probation and 800 hours of community service, or as he calls it, communizle sizzle
Actor Rip Torn would rather you remember him from the movie Men In Black but he's also a gun toting crazy person. He was arrested for trying to break into a Salisbury, Conn., bank branch... thinking it was his HOME. He was so drunk that he broke into the bank, left his shoes and jacked by the front door and went to bed with a loaded weapon and that's exactly how cops found him in the morning.
Rapper Jay-Z was arrested when cops pulled him over and found him driving around with a loaded gun in the car. His bodyguard tried to hide the gun but did a lousy job obviously.
Ja Rule was taken into police custody after officers found a gun in the car he was traveling in. A .40-caliber gun was found in the vehicle and everyone in the car was arrested.
It's utterly horrifying how many of these celebs are packing illegal heat! Do you know any other celebs who have been brought up on weapons charges?
