Sunday night, America tuned in to watch the Academy Awards -- would the most successful film of all time win big?
Mo’Nique won for her supporting role in Precious and that real crazy guy from Inglourious Basterds, logically, Best Supporting Actor.
Combined these two make Hannibal Lecter look like your little sister.
Jeff Bridges received Best Actor for his outstanding role in the not particularly outstanding film Crazy Heart.
Then, in a confusing turn of events, Sandra Bullock won the Best Actress award for her role in Miss Congeniality 2, I mean that football movie.
"I knew this day would come!"
The winner of Best Foreign Language Film thanked the Academy for not recognizing Na’vi as a foreign language. And James Cameron’s ex-wife kicked him and Avatar’s ass by taking home both Best Director and Best Picture of the year for Hurt Locker, which was the lowest-grossing Best Picture winner of all time.
My favorite part was when she waved her Oscar on stage and yelled, “Take that, asshole!” while looking straight at him.
Kathryn Bigelow thanked her producers and her superpowers
before destroying her ex-husband, James Cameron.
Ok that part never happened. I wish it did though.

Avatar was only good for 3D &the battle scene.Other then that the movie was poorly edited, Avatar shouldn't of been that long.Don't even get me started on the Navi sex scene.

Avatar was pretty cheezy and also the plot was straight out of the Smurfs if you guy noticed. Also I found that movie to be pretty racist when the navi hissed in hostility.

Inglourious Bastards was unbelievable. The thing that separates those 2 movies apart from Avatar was that they both had intense scenes that were simple yet complex in the continuity and editing.

Did you guys even see Hurt Locker. It was technically a far better film than Avatar. Kathryn Bigelow effing deserved it. I was rooting for that movie, but by far I wanted Inglorious Bastards to win. I
