Facebook Declares Victory Against The Unwanted Wangs

If you've logged onto Facebook in the past few days, you might have been bombarded with some unwanted porn in your news feed. And no I'm not talking about the sexy fail pics your cousin keeps posting of herself.

Over the past week Facebook users' feeds have been spammed with gore, boobies and giant wangs. Perhaps most horrifying of all was an image of Justin Bieber in which his microphone has been replaced by one of those previously mentioned giant wangs. I mean, I'm no expert in Photoshop but that looked pretty legit to me.

Yesterday, Facebook told BBC News that it had figured out the source of the attack, which they want to clarify was NOT Anonymous, even though the activist hacker group has threatened Facebook in the past and this attack seems to be exactly like something Anonymous would do. It is definitely NOT them, Facebook insists. Facebook has assured its users that most of the pornographic images have been removed from the site, although it's possible a few ding dongs might still slip through the cracks.

Facebook also stated that the cause of the problem seems to be that users were tricked into pasting malicious javascript into their browser URL bar, which then shared the pornographic content with their friends. I'm guessing this translates as, those dummy pervs clicked a link to look at porn. Tricked indeed.

Naturally, parents are breathing a sigh of relief because, as you well know, Facebook allows users as young as 13-years-old to open accounts. And children and pornographic penises are a bad combo. Although it can be an adorable costume!

I guess from now on we'll just have to be satisfied with naughty penis pictures that meet Facebook's terms of service. Which I have to say are more amusing than seeing pictures of the real thing.
