The Lady Nerd: A rare breed of feminine insight and Star Wars knowledge, of lipstick and Lord of the Rings, boobs and Battlestar Gallactica. Her lovely presence can often turn Magic Card tournaments from boring to not as boring and don’t even get me started on what a feminine touch can do to a LARP battle (Live Action Role Playing for you n00bs). I consider myself to be a bit of a Lady Nerd, and with that comes responsibilities - mostly telling you (the nerd), how you can find your future lady (also, a nerd). Just don’t invite me to your Elvish-speaking wedding and we’re even.

1.Watch Every Episode Of Game Of Thrones And Then Approach Her.

Still confused after all that episode viewing? You’re not alone. Simply walk up to her and say the following words: “Game of Thrones.” “Peter Dinklage” “That was crazy.” and I guarantee you each will spark up a conversation to last you for days.

2. Describe Your Star Trek: The Next Generation Action Figures Set To Her.

All of this may seem a bit counter-intuitive, but the Lady Nerd wants you to describe your insanely embarrassing childhood. This is how nerds get sensitive with each other. Chances are, she had the Lt. Commander Data to your Worf, and well my friends, the rest is history.

3. Debate Twilight Vs. Harry Potter As If It Were A Major Political Match

I’ll give you a topic to jump off from: Name one thing both films have in common (Answer: Robert Pattinson, HP had him first - and it was awesome.)

4. Make Geeky Valentines

The Lady Nerd carries great affection toward things often deemed as “silly”, “pointless”, or “stupid” (which in essence, is what geekdom is defined as). So she’ll totally love the Star Wars Valentines with Obi-Wan Kenobi saying, “You don’t have to use the force on my heart, Valentine!” The rest should be a slam-dunk.

5. Allow Her To Nerd Out

At one point some topic will be shared, some movie will be mentioned, and she will nerd out. Allow this to happen, look interested and then say this, “I’m not sure I’m familiar with that, but I’d love for you to share it with me.” Brother, she’ll be putty in your hands.

6. Take A Shower

Personal hygiene may take a hike when you’re hanging in the back room of your local Comic Book store with your fellow nerds playing Axis and Allies, but ladies tend to like a dude who knows their way around a deoderant stick. Her expectations will be set so dramatically low for the opposite sex, you’ll come out looking (and smelling) like the Old Spice Guy. And oh yeah, that’s a good thing.

well, to understand "Game of Thrones" you really need to read -> "A Song of Ice and Fire", by George R. R. Martin. "Game of Thrones" actually came from there. Though I warn you, it's a 8-book collection ^^ (but I loved every page of it)

#3 should not exist. There is no debate. One of them is a book and movie series, one of them is a cargo cult for angsty, ungifted teenagers, minus the suicide (sadly). PLEASE tell me that #3 is a joke. There could never be a serious discussion about HP and Twilight. Twilight is a sad middle aged women's fantasy while Harry Potter is a story of growth, bravery, friendship and love. Also, Harry Potter has an actual plot, where Twilight is about how important it is to find love while you're still in high school, get knocked up as soon as you're done and then almost have a miscarriage. I know what I'd like my theoretical daughter to read.
