Invisibility Cloak Is Real!

Scientists at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland are working on a material that could be used to make invisibility cloaks, according to Lee Speigel of AOL news…

Again the world of Harry Potter invades our world of reality, much like when there was that outbreak of the STD called Hogwarts… (Just kidding.)

Metaflex is the name of the material in question: It’s an adaptable film that can control light waves making objects invisible. It’s credited as being the first step in the creation of “smart fabrics”. You could Google “smart fabrics” on your “smart phone”, but if you’re not “smart”…Well that’s kind of a personal problem eh?

This is a big breakthrough though, you can’t deny it. It’s making the world of science fiction into reality. Soon we’ll be battling with light sabers, using the force, and invisible at the same time… That ought to really freak out Al Qaeda.

But until then, it’s certainly more applicable to our daily lives… Think about it all the times you wish you could be invisible… Like at a Sorority pillow fight/slumber party. Who hasn’t wanted to be a fly on the wall in that situation? This is how it usually goes down right?

Or even to pull some amazing pranks: It’s easy to say you don’t believe in ghosts but when all your household appliances keep turning on and off… You’d be pretty scared. What other good pranks could you pull if you were invisible?

It would have even changed the slogan of all those old Southwest Airlines commercials from: “Wanna get away?” to “Wanna put on your invisibility cloak and get away?”.

Additionally, the team is also developing “super contact lenses that can be ‘used for visual prosthesis’”. In other words they ware working on a “bionic eye”. Are they trying to turn us into robots or what? Are they getting all their ideas from movies?

It’s exciting to think that the possibility of being invisible is almost here. Imagine going to the store and seeing a stock of invisibility cloaks right next to the stock display of snuggies. You can be comfortable and invisible at the same time! I put it to you: how else could the invisibility cloak be useful to you?

things i would do if Invisibility cloaks were real 1.sneak into game stop and steal duke nukem forever bulletstorm and bioshock 3 2. i would sneak out of class and go home 3. steal toys from the toy store 4. beat the shit out of someone i don't like (: and 5. go to the game creators of the legend of zelda and tell them to get rid of NAVI!!!!!!!
