Apparently we now live in a world where mockery and ridicule can actually lead to follow-up singles and international superstardom. Get your zombie apocalypse survival kits ready..cause this has end times prophecy written all over it! Brains, brains, think about brains!
The new song is called ‘My Moment’ and it’s about you guessed it…here meteoric rise from typical junior high student whose parents buy her a recording contract to viral internet joke. Tale as old as...well the internet. Did I mention it's written by one of Justin Bieber's songwriters? So total crap pedigree.
According to Rebecca’s publicist (I can’t believe I just typed that either) “It’s a fairy tale story, but it happened in real life.” That’s such a deep, deep concept my mind is literally blown. But not in a good way at all. Like in a ‘if I hear her sing one more caterwauling note my head will literally firetrucking explode’ kind of way.
The lyrics will talk about all the like amazing things that have liked, you know happened to her. Like attending red-carpet events and like OMG, receiving an award at her junior high school.
A five song ep will be released in August. WHAT A TEASE! But Rebecca ain’t gonna leave her fans hanging! Here’s what we can "look forward to" for the August release.
“I really like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez; all just the fun upbeat stuff, teenager songs,” she told MTV. “My dream duet would be Justin Bieber. Even just doing something with Taylor Swift, or any of my favorite artists would be so cool.” Biebs is all like "Hell to the no!"
So is Rebecca Black the next Lady Gaga? Remember Her Royal Gaganess once famously praised Black. Cause she’s Lady Gaga and she’s like super super unique you guys.
Or will she always be known as internet joke and ironic punchline?

She needs to be dragged out, forced on her knees, and shot. I can think of numerous others who are owed this same treatment. Although there are more-deserving, she's on the list and nowhere near the bottom.
