Someone Pointed Out Harvey Dent's Delayed Reaction to the Joker in 'Dark Knight' Scene and Twitter Is Living for It

Twitter user David S. recently shared a scene from Christopher Nolan's brilliant 2008 movie The Dark Knight where Harvey Dent wakes up to find The Joker dressed as a hospital nurse and sitting next to his bed. It's a great scene between two great actors in a great movie, but there's one moment in this particular scene that isn't so great. In fact, it's comically bad...

It's the kind of bad editing that makes for an iconic film gaffe, so it's actually kind of amazing that no one really pointed it out until now. Regardless of how we all missed it (too busy being in awe of Heath Ledger's perfect acting, most likely), it's basically the best thing ever and Twitter is HERE FOR IT...

Of course, while many had fun joking about the clip, 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg pointed out that the posted clip might not be as accurate a cut as it seems...

Here's the original clip, so you can decide for yourself if Harvey's reaction to the Joker is timed appropriately...

Hmm. Harvey might be a wee bit groggy, but it's pretty damn clear that he gets a SOLID look at The Joker with the mask on before he reacts...

What do you think of the hilariously delayed reaction? Or was this clip misleading? And do you have a favorite funny editing fail to share? Let us know @Smosh!
