My mom bought a leash for my brother when he was 4 at a garage sale for $2. It saved his life when he decided to try and dash into the middle of a busy street but was stopped by the leash. So yes I think they are great. As long as the parents use them correctly and don't abuse them.

I had a leach, and honestly, if they're used correctly they're great. My mum used it so I wouldn't fall flat on my face when we went out.....heck, she still sometimes uses it!! (j/k)
